Uveninu .Star Office, this day. Mr K. Arthur held a sale of watches and various artioles of iewollery to-day. The sale was well attended, and goods were sold at rather ,ow prices. Silver watches from 25s upwards. Mr. B. J. Carbines obtained the following prices at his yesterday's sale:—Poultry: Fat Table Fowls, Is 5d to 2a 3d each; Young Fowls, Is to Is Id; Chicks, 7d to lid; Ducks, Is Hd; Turkeys, 3s 9d ; Geese, 3s 9il; Small Pigs, 7s to 7s 3d; Medium sized do., 13s and Us; Pigeons, 7d to 9d; Bantams, 9d; Canaries, ss; Small Cross - bred Chicks, 5Jd, fresh killed _pork .Id per lb, Bramha fowls 4s6d. Fruit: Stewing pears 2d perlb, medlars i&, apples (grand sample) 33d, Hobart apples 5s 6d per case, lemons 6d to lOd per doz. The ornamental, flowering and shelter trees, shrubs, &c, did noe sell at all freely. Produce: potatoes 25s to £5 per ton; onions, 3d to lid per lb.; pumpkins, £2 to £3 10s per ton ; bacon, ljd to 7d per lb.; hams, 4Jd to od; salt beef, Id ; cheese. a}d to 4*d; honey. 31 to id; salt butter, 5Jd to 6,} d ; lard, 2id, Only partial clearances were effected in other departments.
