Wellington, this day. ] A Big Dock for Wellington. The Harbour Board will at its next meeting oonsider the advisability of constructing a dry dock in Wellington, capable of accommodating the largest vessels visiting the port. Caledonian Frizes. The Caledonian Society here have decided .to consider the question of creating annual competitions for proficiency in all matters relating to the history and literature and music of " Caledonia stern and wild ;" also for the establishment of an agency to assist newly arrived Scotchmen, and of annual prizes for variouß subjects in the local State schools and Wellington College.
