Shocking Railway Accident.
Five Men Killed and Others Injured.
Adelaide, April 22. A fatal railway accident occurred on the Herrgott Springs and Strangwayß Station section of the Northern Railway extension, now in course of construction, about eight o'clock last night. A train, consisting of one engine and oleven trucks, having on board thirty-eight ballaßt men, was returning, whon on reaching an embankment, the driverof the engine noticed some cattleon the lino, but too late to stop the train. Three cattle were killed, and, getting under the wheels, derailed the train. Seven trucks were overturned, five of the occupants being killed instantaneously, aud three Others injured. The guard of the train had a miraculous escape. The bodies of tho ballast men killed were found in a fear fully mangled condition. '
