OHINEMURI.
[From Ouit Own eoBKKSI>oN-.BN^., Waiui, thiß day. Silvekton. — Sinking on tho hanging]! wall portion of the cross lode is still in progress, and stono showing gold freely was broken out from the bottom of the winze to-day. Tho low level has now been driven a distance of 25ft. along the hangingwall of the lode, which looks well for carrying both gold and silver, and the manager expects to intersect tho winze 20ft. ahead of the present face. Union. —An underhand stope is now being carried along on tho reef north and south of the winze, and stone-showing gold frequently is being obtained from both points. A start has been made to rise from the low level where the reef is about 18 inches thick, and although there is no gold visible in the stone, fair mortar prospects are obtainable. There is about 100 tons quartz to glass, and of this 60 tons are now being carted to the Martha battery, which will start crushing operations as soon as there is enough water for that purpose.
