Famine at Labrador.
A special from Ottawa, October 3rd, says it is officially announced there that the Labrador fisheries have proved a failure, and the inhabitants are starving. The suffering of women and children beggars all description, the little ones dying in the arms of their mothers, who have no food to give them, and the cold and exposure complete the list of woes. Several ships loaded with provisions have been despatched to relieve the unfortunates. The famine extends along the entire coast.
