The Congo Country.
The ' New York Herald's ' Brussels telegram of Oct. 23 says Lieut. Coquilhat has just returned after a three years' stay in the Bogala country of the Upper Congo, and flatly contradicts the reported massacres of Europeans there. He gave an optimist's account of the African International Association's progress, arid declares that cannibalism iv the Congo region is dying out, and that the natives are friendly. A special surveying party is at work tracing the route of the future railway.
