Calcutta, November 13, noon.—The Indian Government are in receipt of ad vices from Major-General Prendergast, commanding the British expeditionary force to Burmah, to tho effect that the troops under nis command havo crossed the Burmah frontier and entered the district of Myboa. The Arawa's Frozen Meat. Rio j>k Jankiro, Nov. 12.—The Arawa at rived last night. Hor frozen meat is in goad order. Tho King of Burmah's War Proclamation. Rancioon, November 13.—The proclamation issued by King Theebaw summons his subjects to fight tho English, but admonishes them to kill none until they shall have crossod the Burmese frontier. Great uneasiness is felt in Mandalay, and tho European residents are leaving _as rapidly as possible no hindrance being oflorea to thoir movomonts by tho Burmese. Tho General Elections In England. London, November 13.—Tho writs for tho election of members of tho House of Commons will be issued on the 18th instant.—The Scotcli Liberals appear to be much irritated at the cautious electioneering speech delivered by Mr Gladstono in Ediaburgh. Anglo-Spanish Commercial Treaty. Spain is dosiroua of reopening the parleying in connection with the AngloSpanish Treaty. (Received November 14th —12.1S p.m.) Legislative Doadlook in Queensland. BniHiUNK, this day.—The deadlock between tho two branches of tho Queensland Legislature continues, The ■ Legislative Council is insisting on an amendment to the Appropriation Bill, eliminating the provision for payment of members. A joint committee of both Houses has been appointed to try and arrive at an understanding. Meanwhile, all payments of any kind rom a consolidated revenue have been discontinued.
