A RUNAWAY IN QUEENSTREET.
SiiouTi.Y aftor 11 o'clock this morning considerable commotion was croatod in Queen-street by a horso and trap bolonging to Messrs Smith and Caughoy carooring nvidly from tho direction of Uppor Qneen-fctreet. As tho animals dashed wildly along in front of Bartlott'a photographic studio, a couple of ladies wore necessitated to display unusual activity to cscupo boing run over. At tho corner of Wellesloy-.xtroot tho cart camo into contact with tho handcart of a man named William Baxter, who, whon unengaged, usually stands at that place. Immediately tho two vehicles collided tho horso and trap woro hurled liko an india rubbor ball halfway accross tho stroot, and strange to say, when tho animal was freed from the harnoes, it was apparontly unhurt. Naturally the trap was considerably damaged, but not as much as might have been anticipated from tho tromoiidous forco of tho shock. The' handcart also oscaped with very littlo damage, ono of tho springs and somo of tho wood work being broken. The driver of the trap, a young man named Frasor, arrived upon the scone shortly nfterwards unhurt. It appears that the horse bolted from tho stablos in Upper Queen Stroet.
