Now I, Edward Richardson, tho Minißter for Public Works, do hereby publicly notify that I appoint tho Survey Ofllco at Auckland to be the oflleo at which persona claiming compensation for land taken for, or otherwise affected by, the said public works shall tcrve their claims, pursuant to "'1 he Public Works Act, 1882." WnERBAS tho land mentioned in I ho Schodulo horoto is required to be taken,, under "Tho Publio Works Act, 1882," for a certain work, to wit, tho construction of a road in Parish of Mahuranßi, Provincial District of Auckland: And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, as required by the said Act * ' Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond> Jorvois, the Governor of tho Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance ol tho, powers and authorities in me vestod by section cloven of " The Publio Works Apt, 1882," and of overy other power and authority >in anywise enabling mo in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that tho land mentioned in tho Sehedulo hereto is heroby taken for the purposes'of a road: and that, from and after the day of tho dato hereof, the land so mentioned shall become absolutely vested iv foe-simplo iv Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kindsoever, for use as a road. ~ SCHEDULE. . .
