Parliament will bo opened on Thursday by Sir Wm. Jervois in person, and not by Commission.
Government have a Bill in preparation for the reform of tho Legislative Council. The Bill will not be of n revolutionary character.
The policy Bills—including the Native Lands Settlement Bill—will be submitted in the shape of a series of Bills, tho one contingent upon the other.
