FIRE AT NAPIER
(BY TBIEOBAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Napier, this day. A fire broke out at 4.30 this morning in a store shed at the back of Morley's grocer and fruiterer shop, Emerson-street. The Brigade turned out with commendable alacrity with the engines, but for several minutes after their arrival little better than a dribble of water could be obtained. Fortunately, thestoreshed contained nothing of a very inflammable nature, or else the adjoining premises must hare been destroyed. When at last the water was turned on the fire was put out in a few minutes. The shed and its contents consisting of cases of fruit, groceries, crockery, &c, wero totally destroyed. The insurances on the shop premises did not cover the storeshed.
