ACCIDENT TO THE STEAMER DURHAM.

Te Kopuru, this day. The Durham, in crossing the Heads yesterday, broke her shaft. Captain Smith noticing the accident, got the pilot launch under weigh, and towed the steamer to a place of safety ; afterwards took passengers and mails up the Wairoa.
