(F,V TKLEORAI'H —OWN COHEKSPONDENT.)
Wellington, this day,
It is said that several native witnesses and troopers oxamined in tho libel case, Bryco v. Rusden, recently before the Commissioners at Wauganui, gave evidence declaring that tho statements made by Mr Rus<lon were practically true. The chargo, it will bo remembered, was that native children were actually sabred and ruthlessly cut down by troopers under command of Lieutenant Bryce. Other troopors who were present swore that they did not see any such butchery going on. The case will, of course, come before an English jury.
