Burying a Child Alive.

A chtld was buried alive in November lost, near Belfast, and tho parents and the grandmother were indicted for murder. The evidence showed tht,t the grandmother notified the grave-digger that hia services wore required to bury an infant; that tho father brought the child in a coffin to tho graveyard, and that tho gravo-diggor hoard moans issue from tho coffin, whereupon ho notified tho father. Tho latter, nevertheless, insisted upon having the child buried and upon the grave-digger's refusal, put it undor ground himself, the littlo child moaning all this time. Tho matter was reported, tho coffin was taken up and the child was found still alive, but died a few hours after. The three prisoners were found guilty, and, curiously enough, each received the insignificant punishment of 1 fiv« years' penal servitude,
