Kvbninq Star Office, this day. Mr Alfred Bucicland's RKPOitT.—The past having been a holiday week, less business than usual has been transacted. At the Haymarket on Tuesday last hides ranged from 3d to 4d the lb; pelts, 8d to Is 7d eaoh; wool, 5Jd to s^d the lb. At Woiuku on Saturday, April 4, a moderate muster ot cattle met a fair demand. Dairy cows wore in request at full values; young catt'.o were lower in prico than usual. At Pukekohe, on Monday, a smaller muster of •cock than average sold freely, particularly dairy cows. At Remuera, on Thursday, the diiry stock offered were of very middling i( uallty, and dull of salo. Store cattlo were also a. low values. Fat cattle were in full number, hut In demand; all .rood stock sold freely at about 23s per HOllia. Fat calvos In brisk inquiry nt full values. Sheep woro penned In usual number, but wcro lower In price than last week —about la oaoh. Good limbs were short of requirements, and at higher values. Pigj, scarce, aid better worth. Messrs Hunter and Nolan a \V eeklv Report.—ln consequence of the holiday, there was no horse sale, or hides, skins, and wool, &c. On Tuesday we held our usual weekly sale. The supply was an average one, and lato prices were maintained. Cattle' At tho Newmarket yards, on Tuesday, tho Bupply of dairy and store stock was up to tho average, but owing to the holiday interfering with both steamers and railway traina.tho supply of fat cattle was small, and consequently prices ruled higher. On Wednesday, at Pukekohe. tho yards were well 'filled, and store stock of all descriptions were in Btrong demand. For good steers, from one to four years old, there remains an unsatisfied demand. Sheep: Tho supply on Tuesday was large, and last week's prices fully sustained. liauibs were scarce, and sold well. Pigs: A largo number penned, and demand brisk. Bacon pigs aro in request.
