Ponies to be qualified and ridden by members of the Polo Club ; catch weights. 2. TANDEM RACE of £5. For members of the Polo Club only. Ono pony in each team must bo qualified. 3. OPEN STEEPLECHASE of £15; second horse to receive £2. For all ponies 14 _ and under. Distance, about 2 miles over fair country. All ponies (except Polo ponies) must be maidons o««r stloks ; top weight, lOst 71b : 71b allowed for overy inch under. Ponies to bo qualified and ridden by members of tho Club. Upon fall o£ tho flag the rider lights a cigar, opens an umbrella, mounts, rides round a flag 220 yards distant, and back past the judge's box. The cigar must be alight and umbrella open at the finish of the race. 5. OPEN HURDLE RACE of £10; second horse to receive £2. Conditions same as Open (steeplechase. Entrance, £1. U, CALCUTTA RACE of £10; second horse to receive £2. For members of the Polo Club only. Ponies to bo qualified and ridden by members of the Club. Riders to stand at starting post with saddle and bridle on arm, upon fall of flag to run to a post 50 yards distant, at which the ponies are held, then saddle, bridle, and mount, ride round a flag 220 yardß distant and back past winning post, dismounting at a flag 25 yards from winning poßt from that Solnt, unsaddle, and lead pony baok to udge's box, carrying saddle on arm. At least ono girth must be used. 7. PONY FLAT RACE; half-mile ; last pony £5; first, £2. For members of tho Club only.
