Brisbane, April IS.—Tho Hon. J. F. Garrick, Postmaster-General, has been appointed to succeed Mr Thomas Archer, Agent-General for Queensland in London.
Tho Governorship of Victoria. April 18. —Tbe Hon. Sir WjHam Foster Stawell, Chief Justice of Victoria, will administer tho Government until the arrival of Sir Henry Loch.
Tho Railway Collision Inquiry.
Melbourne, April 18. — The official inquiry into the recent disastrous railway collision noar Little River Station opened today. The evidence taken was of a formal nature.

Sydney, April 18.—New Zealand wheat, per bushel, is 3s Od ; New Zealand oats, 2s lOd ; maize, 5s 9d ; and the Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton, .34.
Adelaide, April 18.—Wheat is 3s lOd to 3s lid. Tho market is dull, and prices weak and unsettled. Flour ; Town brands aro .9 10s, country brands, £8 10s. Quotations are nominal. Freights to London, steamer, aro 35s to 40s. The market is dull, and nothing is doing.
