Dkep Level Cross. — Retorting of the amalgam obtained from the erash-.ng earned on early in tho month, took place yesterday, when a return of 38iozs. melted gold was obtained from eighty-two loads of quartz. It is unlikely that regular crushing operations will be resumed until the reefs are do, veloped at intermediate and G4O feet levels. Tho Imperial clear up to-morrow. The re turn wIU be payable, but probably hardly so much as last month, aa so much riirt has not SSen crushed. A better class of country is coming In shaft.
