MEETING OF CREDITORS OF MR LIONEL PHILIPS.
A meeting of ths creditors of Mr Lionel Phillips, wine merchant, was held this afternoon, at three o'clock. There was a large number of gentlemen more or less interested present. The expenses for house and office appeared to be about £21 per week from the time ho began business. Mr A. H. Nathan said there was considerable dissatisfaction outside in the city. The debtor appeared to lose in aenp, and some creditors seemed to think this was a species of gambling for a business man. Mr Nathan saiH that fortheninemonths Mr Philhpsliad had beenfin business £900 seemed to have been lost or about £100 per month, and this amount was exclusive of any supposed profits on the business. It was finally proposed and earned that Mr. Bennett, certificated accountant, be employed to "o through the books and tiff whole estate, and report to a meet^ ver Friday. Mi Phillips seeme^tiim, and clearly any questions JMJrs all he could, promised to aid thoyeSred for the debtor,Mr Braesto^fo^?, but wished to assign nß^«e'estate for liquidation. ,
