West Australian Loan Floated. (Received March 25th—Noon.) Loxdon, March 24.—The Western Australian Government Loan of £154,000 at 4 per cent, has been more than covered, the tenders amounting to two hundred and forty-four thousand pounds. The minimum was 9Gi, and tho average price realised is £97 Is." The French Convict Nuisance Lord Derby has assured Mr Murray Smith that he has no hope that any remonstrances on the part of the English Government will be effectual in preventing France carrying out tho rccidiviste scheme. He has, however, promised to again consult Lord Granville oh tho subject. Western Australian Loan. Tenders for tho West Australian Government loan of £154,000 at 4 por cent., and a minimum of 964-, were opened to-day. The total amount offered was £257,000; Tenders at £97 Is will reccivo 83 per cent., and tenders above that price in full.
