SPORTING NEWS.
Tiikhk seems to bo an impression abroad that the Henderson's Mill Turf Club Meeting takes place to-morrow, but such is not the case. The meeting was originally fixed for the 15th, but owing to the Takapuna Club altering the date of their gathering, the Henderson's Mill Club took lip their old date, 17th March. We may mention that a train for the convoyance of town visitors leaves the railway station on Monday at 11.30 a.m.
Nominations for the Takapuna and Helensvillc race meetings close to-night,
At the Oaniaru races yesterday, the Autumn Handicap of lOOsovs., 2 miles, was won by Mr J. Stephenson's Hazard, Trumpeter being second, and Holderness third. The time recorded was 2mins. 45isees. Hazard also won the Stewards' Plate, beating Trumpeter, Molly Bawn, and three others.
