Pobt Aliiert, this day. Polling for tho members of tho Albert Licensing Committeo took placo yesterday. The temperance party nominated five candidates, and fire favourable to liquor traffic wero also nominated. Tho following was tho result of the voting:—Edward Browne, 01; Powell, 48; Thomas Gubb, 47 ; Rushbrok, 40; Geo. Hartnell, 45; Ashton, 5; Hogan, 0 ; Redmond, 5; Somomlle, 4; A. Smith, 2. Five strongly pronounced tomporanco candidates aro thus olected. Tho only liconsed house, tho Mangawai Hotel, will bo closed. The result of tho Auckland tomperanco vote gives pleasure to Albertlandors.
