Stage v. Press.
The cricket match between representatives of the Press and Royal Opera Company eventuated on the Domain Ground yesterday afternoon. Notwithstanding tho unfavourable weather, there was a fair attendance of spectators. The members of thef ourth estate went first to the ivickets and made 54, Courtayne and Brookes being tho chief contributors. Beaumont and Musgrove bowled very well, while Fordo proved himself a first-class wicket-keeper. The Stage representatives scored 67, H. Musgrovo making "21, Fordo IG, and AY. Beaumont 15. Speight and Goodman bowled exceedingly well, tho former getting no loss than seven of the wickets at a cost of 29 runs. The aggregate scores were as follows :—
