Raof.cour.se, this day. Lady Emma 1 July 2 Sou'wester 3 [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Robinson declared to win with Nonsense. It was won easily. The ether starters wero: Tasman, Vanguard, Nonsenso,Tim Whiftler, The Poet, Hippodamia, Digby Grand, and Hazard. Time, 3.56. The meeting opened most auspiciously. The weather has been very threatening in the morning, but the heavy clouds gradually disappeared, and by the time the racing commenced, it was a magnificent day, without a breath of wind. The ground is in splendid order, and the renovation of buildings gives evorything a smart appearai.C3. Trains and trams conveyed peoplo to the course in hundreds, so that when the ball opened thoro must havo been fully C,OOO present. There was ostimated to be quito 10,000 within the enclosure when the Cup was run. Both stands were crowded, and several thousands were on the Sandhills.
