Dunedin, this day.—Why Not and Welcome Jack are scratched for all engagements. The latter at 10.30.
Dunedin, Tuesday.—The- wenther continues favourable for the races, which begin on Thursday. There are no changes to report in the betting to-night on the Cup. Sou'wester remains firm favourite, while Vanguard, Nonsense, Tim Whiffler, and Lady Emma are well supported. Eiccarton is scratched for both Hurdle Race and Steeplechase.
Arrirals by last night's train are—Digby Grand, Minerva, Marchioness, and Nell.
In "Ada Mantua's" consultation, Sou'westergoes to awell-known ship captain at Nelson, Hippodamia to Napier, July to Christchurch, Tim Whiffler to a well-known preasi man at Wellington, Lady Emma to Balciutha, Nonsense to a lady -at Invercargill, Tasnmn to Wyndham, and Poet to a well-known local member of Parliament.
