This Morning's Session.
A sesiion for the transaction of ministerial business "was held this forenoon. The meotinc was opened by singing, reading a portion of Scripture, and prayer engaged in by Revs. Hori Te Kuri and George Bond. Arrangements wero mode for supplying the several pulpits in the city and suburbs lon Sunday. Ministers from a distance were appointed to officiate in the various churches. Most of the session was occu•pied with the oral examination of native probationers. Six brethren presented themsehre.3. viz., Ilameka, Hori Te Run, Wi Warena Pewa, Matene Ruta Waiti, Hauraki Paul, and Piripi Rokena. The examination was conducted by the Chairman, partly in Maori and partly in English. Having related their Christian experience, they were examined at length in the catechism.andintheelementsof theology. Atits close tho following resolution was carried " That tho English superintendents of Maori probationers boroquested to instruct them in theology and to arrange for quarterly progressive examinations in their circuits during the year, and that the said Maori probationers appear for examinatioE before the next District Meeting."
