The Irish Informers,
SIDNEY, August 9,
In reply to Inquiries which have been made by the New Zealand Government at to the probability of tbe Irish informers being sent to Mew Zealand, Mr A. Stuart, Premier, has telegraphed to the effect that the affair was ended as far as wew South Wales was concerned, inasmuch as the Im. perial authorities had now taken the matter in hand.
BRISBANE, August 9.
Large importations of Chinese labourers are now being made into the colony, ia anticipation oi repressive legislation at an early date.
