The Union Company's stearoor Wanaka arrived from tho south at 8.J5 a.m. yeiterday with aoout 80 tons of cargo and the fouowlug passengers :-Mr and Mrs Staple?, Mis Major, Messrs Alonntfort. Kohn. A. Mounttort, Ellingham. Falooner, Cox. Lambee, P. B. Engei. Knko. O. Hudson, Frszor, Proffltt, Moauite, Linden, W. M. Noakes. and 11 in tha steerage. The Wanaka returns South to-morrow at 10 a.m. The s.s. Oreti arrived early this morning from Wellington, via way ports, with 23 head cattle, 6 horses, 153 sheep, and a quantity of grass seed and sundries. Sho is expected to return hontn to-morrow.
The s.s. Macgregor, which arrived from Waitara on Saturday, brought 614 sheep, 5 racehorses, 9 head cattle, and the following passengers -.-Masters McGee, Maden (2), Woods, Miss Kenrick,. Mrs McLoughlan, Messrs Owen, C. McGee, French, Williams, Maden. Robinson, Ray, Edwards, Langston, Evans, Yore, Jones, Baker, Knott, Donne, and Gayen. She left again about 9 o'clock the same mght for Auckland. The s.s. Argyle arrived from Anckland on Saturday morning, and left again at 9 p.m. the same day for Waitara with several passengers, and about 30 tons cargo. Tho Argyle takes the pUce of tho Macgregor till tho latter vessel returns from Auckland.
