Three Cottages Burned Down.

CHBISTCHCKCH, this day. This morning tbree cottages were burnt at Phillipstown, Two of four rooms, be. longed to Alonzo Kiogsbeer, carpenter, who lived in one, the other being empty. They were insured in the South British Office for £125 each. The thiid house was the property of J. A. Willey, coachtrimmer." It was occupied, and was insured in the Union Office for £200. Kingshcer's furniture was insured in tbe Victoria Office tor £200. Very little furniture was saved. The fire is supposed to have been caused by sparks from the kitchen grate catching a newspaper on a chair in the front room,
