ACCIDENT AT ELLERSLIE.

A MAN took out a horse to Ellerslie this morning, bavins; a lad named Mayne with him. Going into a house he left the latter to look after the horse, [earnestly charging him not to attempt to mount the animal, o r to annoy it in any way. It appears, however, that joung Mayne disregarded the injunctions, and did get into the saddle, Tho noise started oft, threw he boy (whosa foot remained caught m the stirrup), and dragged him some distance His injuries are severe. There are eevernl extensive scalp wounds, one side of the face is much bruised, and the boy lies unconscious at the Hospital with concussion of the brain. His father, Mr May no, lives at Ellerslie House.
