Tho sohooner Atalanta sailed early this morning from Manukau Heads, with 23,000 feet timber for Nelson.
The Government steamer Stella arrived from Wellington and New Plymouth at 7 a.m. to-day, with the following passengers :-Mr and Mra Whiteker, family, and servants, Mr Bryco and secretary (Mr Butler), Mlssoa Shepherd and Ward, and Captain Baker and 60 of tho A.C. Force.
The Hawea Is announced to raturn South at 8 a.m. to-morrow. Latest train, 7.15 a.m.

The Union Company's steamer Hawea arrived from Southern ports at 3 o'clook yesterday nftornoon, with 100 sacks bran, CO bags malt, 1. bales flax, 2 boxes gold, 03 packages sundries, and tho following passengers: Misseß Skelly, Turner, and Paul, Mrs Mldlington, Simon Midlinston and four children, Sam Midltngton and child, Mesdamos Ronnie and Wilaon; Messrs H. B, Scott, C. F. Nappor. Coney, E. Pcarso, Trewheelor, Goldberg, Arthur, J. S. Cave.Mll, Turner, Skeet (31, Young, Christie. Scott, McsdiinioH Gibbons and child and Kohlliofl', Mr and Mrs Dickson, Mr and Mrs Whitney, and 12 in tho steerage. . .'
