RELEASE OF THE GAZELLE.
Me _BS S_0!«~ Bros, have received in. formation, unofficially, to the effect that the Government has drcided to release the barque Gazelle, lor which the firm a»e agents, on certain conditions. A telegram from Wellington states that tbe "conditioni'" ire that a five of £50 be paid, in addition to "all expenses." It is not yet known what the expenses amount to, or how they have been incurred, further than that a Custom?hou- o officer has beer, in charge of the Gazelle since she was seized, because of concealed tobacco being di»covr cred on board. Fuller particulars are expected to arrive per Arawata to-morrow mo>niog. Messrs Stone Bros, have not yet taken charge of the vesiel.
