Dr. Hector lectured in the Museum on Saturday night on Colonial ludustries, Specimens ot Auckland glassware were exhibited and favourably commented on. The Vase of Harjes.

Mr Wynn Williams has givea notice to ask the Government whether they intend to take any steps for the purpose of arranging aa. extradition treaty with neighbouring colonies, to remedy the evils arising from a want of power to arroat absconding debtors, as shown in the case of the Auckland absconder Harjos, who was arrested at Adelaide and released by the magistrates.

Eight Hours on Railways. On Tuesday Mr W. Green is to ask the Minister for Public Works, " If it U the intention of the Government to bring the eight hours system into operation upon the railways of the colony, and if so, when? Also, whether in cases where employes are required to work more than eißht hours, the Govtrnment will pay for such extra hours as overtime?"

Also particulars of laud for sale for cash in Manaia township,Opunake township, suburban and rural sections in adjoining country, and small farm and village settlements.
