Business this Afternoon. Mr BRACKEN presented a petition figned by 450 artizans against the teaching of skilled labour in gaols. Iho petitioners argued that it lessened the demand for free
labour,
Sir George Grey presented a potition from Ihos. Speechlcy, complaining that ho had been in colonial torvice since 1845, and had not yet reoeived his Crown grant. Mr Bracken gave notice of motion to move that a commission bo appointed to to inquire into the whole railway system of the Colony, one half to bo nominated by the Government, tho other half by tho employees of the railway,
