2he Khedive in Great Peril. ■ ALKXANDKIA, July 13. The Khadive has taken refuge in his palace at Kamleh, five miles from the city. A large body of troops surround tho palace, and are making threats en the Khedive's life, His Majesty's condition is deemed most critical and precarious, and great feara are entertained for his safety. Tlie City Mill in Flames. The city is still burning in many parts. The conflagration is the greatest in the native and European quarters, and it is now rapidly extending in the direction of the port. Tars Landed to Extinguish tho Fire. Tho Admiral has landed a farce of six hundred meu to stay the flames, tif passible, but this will be a work of enormous difficulty. Reported Panic Among Egyptian Troops. It is repotted that the Egyptian troops have massed in force oatside the city, but at the aauie time others say that they are demoralised, and areiapidly retreating into the interior. Abandoned Forts Mined. It is suspeotod that the town forts havo been undermined 'by the Egyptians in anticipation oi their occupation by the English. The Admiral's Attempt to Restore Order. Admiral Seymour has received instructions from England not to dismantle the forts, but to invito the Khedive to restore order in concert with Dhorvish Pasha, tbo Turkish Special Oommissioner. The Admiral will also invite the Com 1; manders of;the fleet* of other ;European Powers lying off tho port to co-operate with him in restoring order.
