Tub mcmbeis of. the _?uckland Annual Regatta Committee met iv the upstairs room of th 6 Waitemata Hotel last evening, to arrange the programme for tin aquatic festival of January 29th, 1882. The value of Plzas hours of starting, courses, etc.," were fixed. The question of time allowance in tho Champion Sailing Vessels Race gave rise to ah animated discussion, it being ultimately resolved—" Tlytt brigantines allow no tithe to others than their ov/n crass; topsail schooners to allow brigantines and their own class full time, and to allow fore-and-afters lialf time; fore-and-aftcra to allow full time to all classes. All vessels entering Bhall enter on their gross tonnage and registered rig. A time-allowance of twelve seconds to the ton will be made." The couTses.for the various events were slightly altered^- irho vessels entering for the Champifffi Race, large schooners and large cutters, go around Tiritiri as before, while the other contests will take place within the harbour, none going further than Rangitoto Reef. The prize list was decided upon as follows :— CHAMPifIf Sailing- Vessels.—Brigan. tines, schooners, affdkotches, 25 tons register and upwards.—First prize, JM.Z.S.Co's Cup valued at £25, and £75 added; second prize, £25; third prize, £10, Trading Cuttebs, 25 tons register and upwards. — First prize, "Herald" cup, valued at £10, with £30 added ; second prize, £10.^ SCHOOOTES, under 50 tons register.— First prize, MBSpewissoafs cup, valued.at £10, and £25 nefded. Trading Cuttebs, under 25 tons rfeginter. -First prize, Mr Street's cup, valued at £7, and £20 added; second prize, £20; third prizo, £5. SCOW RACE.—First prize, £20; second prize, £82.^ '-.
