THE OPENING OF MOKAU.
(BY TELEGRAPH— OWN CORRESPONDENT).
WAITARA, this day. Te Wbteke, oi Mokau, and a large number of followers have arrived here and held a meeting relative to the holding of a Land Court for Mokau. Applications wero sent to the Government soveral months ago, but no attention was paid to tho request. The natives desire to open the trade between Mokau and Auckland. They have concluded to memorialise the coming Parliament respecting their applications.
