Messrs Ooohrano and Hon offered the St. Stephen's estate and other properties to-day at their land mart. The only propor ty sold was an allotment at Freeman's Bay, with a frontage of 27 foot to Vernon-streot, which was purchased by Mr John Jack for £59 8?. Messrs Hunter and Nolan held a wool sale this afternoon, consisting of 58 lots or Ho bales, Long-wool grease brought from 6jd to 7:1a; halfbred, 7:] dto BJd; merino. B|d. The principal buyers wero Mesßrs Hesketh, Ireland Bros,, Potter, Bouthorland, Laybourn, and Reld.
Mr Greenwood sold to-day a parcel of land at Waimouku, containing six acres, 2 roods, etc., for -30, also 120 acres.beiDß let 61, at Awitu, for £3110 i. The other allotmonts were passed.
Mr Gabriel Lewis held a salo Of Christmas presents, eleotro-plate ware, and jewellery, but, although the goods were some ot the finest ever imported Into this city, the bidding was dull. The electro-plate articles were sold, but the jewellery was reserved for future competition.
