Broaie, County Chairman, met the electors of Coromandel District last evening at St George's school. At the conclusion, a hearty vote of thanka and confidence In Mrßrodie waa unanimously carried. Mr Speight addresses tho electors at tho Theatre Royal to-night. Mr Cadman had advertised his Intention to appear before tho eleotors of tho Coromandel electorate this ovening, but has been unablo to obtain a steamer to convey him to the Thames lD Um°" IMONGONUI, this day. Mr Lundon addressed a meeting of the electors at Wangaroa on Tuesday. Mr Anderson, J.P.. in the chair. Mr Lnndon Rave an account of his stewardship aa their representative. Mr Hayea proposed a voto of confidence and Mr Wigmore seconded. Mr T, M. Lane moved aa an amendment a vote of no confidence, and Mr W. J. Hare seconded. Tho amendment was declared carried. No questions were asked Mr Lundon. Mr Lundon met the elootors at Kaeo on Wednesday. The weather waa bad. but thero wob a large number present. Mr Anderson, J.P. in the chair. Mr Lundon gave a roßume of hia action in. the Honse during the past threo years A vote of entire canfidenoe was moved seconded an carried by a large majority. Mr J. Hare mo red a vote of thanlrs. and Mr Lano uecondod, but this was i.oat. Mr Lundon read a communication from Mr Lane, J.P., asking him (Mr Lundon) to u«e his his influonoe with tho Government to have him (Mr Lane) appointed a resident magistrate for MoDgonul and Whangaro*, and if he Buooeeded. hia election would be made auro. Ho olao read a telegram as follows:—" Propose me. Send recommendation next post. Your next election sure.—(3lgnod) VV. Lane, J.P. and coroner. Ho also read a letter from Mr J. Haro Junr., aßklng him (Mr Lundon) to have Mr J. Hare, sonr. appointed J.R CHRlgTcmmCHi Thurßdar . Mr J. T. Watson has deolined, after considertion, to opposo Mr Rolloaton for Avon.
ASHBURTON, Thursday. Mr Woson Is sow contesting tho Wakanul seat. Ha received an influential requisition to oppose Mr Wright for tho Asliburton soat, but declinoil with thanks.
