BOARD OF EDUCATION.
The usual meeting of tho Board of Education took place this afternoon. Tho following gentlemen were present:—Mr McCosh Clark (Chairman), Joseph May, F. J. Moss, F. L. Prime, Moat, Dargavillo, and Luke.
Executive Committee. —This Committoo reported as follows:—The following tenders have been accepted : Rangiaohia, Mr Thomas, £264, for erection of school; Mr Alex. \V ishart £329, for erection of teacher's dwelling at Taupiri and 34a per chain for fencing —She Committee have invited fresh tenders for fencing school site at Panmure.—The Coramittoo recommend acceptance of the convert ten der—Messrs Smith and SVoodor £222 for erection of school at Churchhill.—Mr J. Swan son, whoso tender was accepted by committee for erection of school buildings at Waitakorei, having reported his inability to carry out his contract at the price tendered, committee recommended that the contract should bo annulled and his deposit forfeited. Tho report was adopted. Omaha.—An application for £5 for improvomenta was granted. KONTAHOATl.—Application for teacher' residence. —Consideration deferred.
Russell.— Authority was given to pay tho rent due in the school.
Taupo.—Letter re proposed site for new school, stating that allotments adjoining the school could be had for the price of £10. Waikbkehe.—Application for an extra Brant of £6' for the erection of new closets for school.—Agreed that the committee of school be urged to pay for same out of school funds.
