Copies of Prospectus and'forma of Application for Shares can be obtained from the Brokers, Provisional Directors, or from any of tho Branches of tho Bank of New Zealand in this Colony, until tho 15th day of December, 1880, at which date all applications mußt be in ihe hands of the Brokers, when tho list will positively be closed and shares allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of tho Museums in New Zealand; tho Chamber of Commerce, Wellington j or on application to any of the Officers of the ComJrfintrodncing this eligible investment to the notice of tho public, the promoters desire to state that the Company's rights comprise the best, most-available, extensive, and perhap3 most valuable Marble deposits in the known world, at all events in tbe Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell eound Marble securing the first prize at tho late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. They aieo wi-n to dwell upon its known certainty, and nonspaculative character, the ultimate Bucce^sof this venture being now well established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and rdnges up to £5, Larger blocks, are, howovor, much more valuable, somo pure White Bt»tuaiy, without flawß, realising as much as £°0 000 sterling in Europe. Tho ordinary price for a block suitable for a life-size hu tan Btatue being about £1000. ll'ho prepent coat of producing this Marble by manual labor only is about 2s per cubic foot; f.o.b. These figures may appear incredible, but they are nevertheless abso utely correct. This, taking the cost of production as stated and the very lowest wholesale quotation at 123 per foot, gives the apparently-fabulous minimum rate of 500 per cent, profit. It is therefore, no visionary matter, ag these are lead ing commercial lines and the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality r t product, giving a vast ad vantago over any like property in tho world. W c will also venture to predict that the valoe of the Company's hares will ncrease at least 300 per oent. within twolve|months of isßue. Referring to consumption of these commodities, it is also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, abd Lime, in the Australian Colonies, alone during the last twelve months has been £2 872 600 sterling, and rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a commodious and safe harbor ior the largest vessels in all weathers, the works of the Company being situated at the water's edise. The Government of this colony has also promised to favourably consider special grants in concessions in aid as soon as the Company is euccessf ully floated. For farther particulars re other minerals found at the Sound, copper, coal, gold, &c, also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, linii, See., together with scientific, professional. Government, and other reports, with details of the objects and intentions of the Company, wo refer to the Prospectus, which can bo obtained upon application to any of the officers of: the Company or from Company's!
