MASONIC.
Tub annual communication of the District Grand Lodge of Knghud was held last evening in the lodge-room, Insurance Buildings. The attendance was large, and the proceedings were of a very interesting character. BrotherLodiier, V. W. D. D.G. M., presided. The following comprised the business ot the lodge :—Brother Dr. Goldsbro' was re-elected treasurer, and Brother Porter tyler. The D.D.G.M. said that, on account of tho near approach of the arrival of the District Grand Master, he did not think it incumbent on him to mike any changes, and would reinstal and reinvest the present officers, leaving it for the D.G.M. to make any promotions he might deem proper. He had to heartily thank those officers for the cordial manner in which they had worked with him. The following were then duly invested and installed :—Brothers J. Warren, V.W.S.W.; W. H. Skinner, V.W.J.W.; W. P. Moat, V.W.D.G. Registrar; M. S. Leers, V.W. President of the Board of General Purposes; H. G. Wade, V. VV. Secretary; Dr. Dawson, V.VY.S.D.; T. Cole, G. Director of Ceremonies; VV. Rattray, G. Assistant Director of Ceremonies ; j. Hatswell, D.G. Sword-bearer; C. Heskctb,D.G. Organist; Fenton.D.G. Pursuivant; Cai law, Assistant D.G. Pursuivant; B. Tonks.Major-General; Gosett and W. R. Waddel, Stewards. The following having been nominated by the D.M.G., were members by virtue of their oilice :—R. W. Brother G. S. Graham, D.G.M.; Brothers W. Lodder, D.D.G.M.; J. Warren, D.G.S.W.; W. H. Skinner, D.G.J.W,; E. T. Wilduian, P.D.D.G.M.; Brothers Nelon, Goldsbro', Moat, Dawson, and Brother M. S. Leers, President. The election resulted as follows : —Brothers T. Cole, Chapman, Car!aWj Fenton, George, Hatswell, Heskcth, Macdonald, Uattray, and the Rev. W. Tebbs>, The subjoined Past-Masters were elected to preside, iv connection with the Lodge officers, over the fuud of benevolence :— Brothel s McLeod, Alexandra Lodge; Tcbbs, Prince of Wales' Lodge; Crawford, Turanganui Lodge ; H. Chapman, Eden Lodge; Reea George, Bemuera Lodge; Dargaville, St. George's Lodge. The D.D.G.M. informed the Grand Lodge that an emergency meeting would be convened on the arrival of Brother D.G.M. Graham. He also proposed a vote of condolence to Brother Edward S, Willcocks, on bis recent bereavement in the loss of Mrs Willcocks. The proposition was made in feeling terms, and supported by Bro. W. P. Moat. The secretary (Bro. Wade) was instructed to send the vote of condolence to Brother Willcocka. The Lodge was then closed in due form.
