Betrayer, Volunteer, Norseman, Hilanoirs Sir George, Adamauted, Atlantic, and Hoskiasco also rail. Betting Gto 4 against Sir Modred; 4to 1 Natator; 5 to 1 Betrayer. A capital start was effected, Sir Modred led followed by Helanoirs, the rest in a cluster. At the top of tin': course Luna made the running at a hot pace, Sir Modred dropping back to fourth, Sir George was second, Atlantic third. Luna led into the straight, where Sir Modrod camo again, followed by Natator. Nearing the rails Luna was beaten, Natator coming home first by two lengths, .Sir Modred second, Luna a good third.

Tera (Cornelius), 3 Hilda and Levant also ran. Betting : 2 to lon field. Laertes was favourite. Tera and Lara jumped off with the lead, but the Joker at a tremendous pace soou passed them, and held a long lead till entering the straicht, when ho completely shut up. Lara, followed by Tera, came to the front; the former wiuning by a length, Laertos beating Tera inside rails for second place. Time : lmin. 19secs. Natator (Derrett) 2 Mischief (Webster) 3 Lure, Talent, Nautilus, aud Miss Dortnctt also ran. Uctting: 2tol on Natator, 3 to 1 a«st. Luna. A very bad start was made. Mischief lod, with Luna second, Lure being left at the post- Miss Dommett fell. Luna won by a length, Natator and Misohief passing Nautilus inside the rails. Time : 1 minute IG.J seconds.
