Those other members of the family who did not hear the recent Service of Song at this church were comfortably seated in good time last evening, c'en though choice of seats was sparse, and the best coign vantage stood at a premium. The rosumd, owing to divers omissions, was not all that could be desired, some of the best soli given with such former genre and dlan being conspicuously wanting. The organ solo processional (Scolson Clark) in general effect was somewhat monotonous, though the execution left little to desire, whilst the duet and chorus, " Come Magnify tho Lord With Me," was very successful, but the basses were much too heavy, the choir getting up one after tho other in this and throughout tho whole scries, instead of rising en masse to tho wave of the bAton. In " Judge Me, Oh God" we should opine that at least three of the sopranos were rendering little or no assistance. Mr V. E. Kice gave the organ solo, " Fixed in His Everlasting Soat" (Sampson) with considerable effect and skill, the rondo cappricioso possessing piquancy and delicate instrumentation. Anthem, "How lovely are thy dwellings Kair." This was not very elaborate, but the nova famina may cony tho style, forming an excellent study, and Mr Coatos was himself singing in good tempo, and keeping tho aspirants well together. Tho wellthumbed score, "In native worth," was really very creditable and painstaking. Mr Khodes sang, "Now Heaven in Fullest Glory " (Creation), and tho Kecitative was not omitted. His performances appeared to giyo great satisfaction. "Children Pray this Love to Cherish." Mr Forth deserves commendation; he sings carefully and correctly. Mis 9 Corbett was evidently not trying. Quartette, " Take Heed Watch, and Pray." The basso was singing very wide of the'mark, otherwise the trio were blending in most perfect unison and concord. Mrs Tebbs, in a well-known "March," maybe congratulated on her sustained rapidity in right hand passages; she played the ad oaptandum show piece with a crispness and fluency of touch. The voluntary during the oll'crtory was also thoroughly well played. The To Down (Hopkins), which concluded the programme, waa by far the Heat effort of the choir,
