At Koinuora, on Thursday, dairy cattle wero fairly numerous, but tho greater number lnferior.either from ago or Ul-breod. The few good animals woro eagorly competed for, ana all met with a good demand. Store cattle wero more numerous than usual. Well-bred heifers In good demand, but other descriptions dull of sale. Fat cattlo in average supply: 125 head sold; lteht wolehta, provincial fatted, wore steady, at from 273 to 29a ; shlp-borno, from 22s to 2is tho lOOlbi Fat sheoD, In fair supply, met with a steady sale, at from 2Jd to 3d tho 10. Lamb«, short of requirements, and at higher values, brought from 123 to 183 each. A number of pigs from tho coast, medium weight and coarse quality, sold better than uaaal. Fat calves wero plentiful, but maintained their valnes. MESSRS HUNTER AND NOLAN'S WEEKLY REPORT. Horses,—The Improvement noted last week continued, and more than the usual number have ohangod hands. On Friday, an increased number were submitted by auotlon, and competition was more fsplriied than on tho previous week, consequently nearly all entered were disposed of at prices showing a sllprhtly upward tendency. Wo quote hacks from £6 15s to £17 ; light - harness horses, £15 to £30; medium draught, £22 to £35. . Cattle.—The supply has been (rood of nearly all de3oription3. A steady demand has oxlstod, but vendors who expectod higher rates were disappointed. Both at Newmarket and Walukn (on Wednesday) there was & largo muster of dairy and storo stock, which worodispoaod of at rates enrrent for the last fortnight, a few pens at tho lattor place being held over for higher values which purchaser* refused to give. Thoro has been a good muster of fat boasts, and some of them, locally fod, were in prime condition, and were woll compotml for; but thera was little alteration in value, nor was there any noteworthy chango in tho value of other descriptions. Shcop—There was an lnoreased supply, and competition was not quite so keon as on the previous week. Best wethers, in wool, from 203 9d to 275; inferior, from 153 9d to 193; shorn shoop, from 12s to 15s 9d. Lambs were rather scarce and small, the highest price obtained Pigs wers scarce, and the demand brisk; good porkers sold at prices satisfactory to vendors.
