Meeting of Justices.
A MKKTING of the justices of the Court of J'dtty Scssious was held in the oificc, Highstrcct, at noon to-day. Proaont: Colonel Motion, Messrs Goldsbro', Mitford, Hurst, Bcettiam, Taylor, McMilliau, Dargavillo, Ireland, Copgrave, O'Noil, Shea, McKhvain, hud iiobinsou (Mayor of Parnell.) -Lettkr of Apology.— A letter of apology was road from Mr Montclli, who was unable to be present. Chairman.—lt was moved by Mr Taylor, sqeouded by Mr Mitford,, "That Colonel Nation be chairman of the Court of Potty Sessions for the coming year."- r JVIr Ireland moved, and Mr McMillan seconded, " That Mr Dargnville be re-appoiuted chairman." —My, Dargavllle declined, audCol. Nation1 was elected, and took the chair. Thanks.—Avoto of thanks was unanimously accorded to the late chairman for li;s services during the past year. Sessions Clerk,— Mr Ireland proposod, and Dr. Goldsbro' seconded, "That Mr Joseph Cunningham bo re-appointed clerk to the Court of Petty Sessions at an annual salary of £100.—Carried. —Mr Dargaviilo proposed, and Mr Beetham, seconded, " i hat Messrs Header Wood and W. J. Hurst form a deputation to interview the Minister of Justice for the purpose of obtaining the payment of the salary voted to tho clerk of the petty sessions."— Carried. Bailiff.— Mr Henry Richards wa3 roappointed bailifF. JKOTA.— Mr Mitford proposed, and Mr Irolauc. seconded, "That the rota be prepared in the same manner as last year, i printed and circulated amongst the Justices!" —Carried. This ivas all the business. '
