The Double Murder in Wellington.

(BY TELEGRAPH.)

WELLINGTON, this day. The only other particulars that have transpired respecting tho double murder and suicide arc that it was Clarence the elder, not Randolph, who committed the terrible deeds. He had been off work, having a bad linger. Yesterday morning ho seemed in his usual frarao of mind, and went and got his linger dressed aud obtained his father's medicine. On Tuesday he was observed by thoir servaut girl loading a gun, and in reply to her inquiry said he was going to shoot a cat. Yesterday ou Clarence's return tho servant gave the old man Ins medicine aud he went to sleep. Clarence then told her she could go about her work. She then weut to the lawn at the back of the house to take in some clothes, and after an absence of less than n quarter-of-an-hour came back, and saw Clarence at tho back door, sawing away at his throat with a carviug knife. After shouting " Clarry.Clarry," she rushed for assistance, unconscious of tho tragedy enacted inside, as sho heard no noise while on tlie lawn. It appears that the gun was only loaded with powder, as the bed-clothes where the old man lay weic set on fire by the wadding. The body ot the old gentleman was fearfully injured, as if the young fellow had smashed the gun over his father's head. Tho stock was lying on tho bed aud tho barrel on the floor. It ia conjectured that Mm Millor was carrying some coals to tho firo when attacked, as close to the body was a sciittleful scattered about. Tho fatrily were quiet, respectable and affectionate, aud both lads wero active aud industrious at thoir trade. Although Clarence, as a rule, was cheerful aud quiet, ho was subject to occasional fits of uncontrollable frenzy. THE INQUEST, At tho inquest on tho bodies of the Miller family, Dr Franco gavo evidence that he knew Clarence siuco an infant, and he always had a tendency towards insanity. Tho verdict was that Mr and Mrs Millor wero killed by thoir sou Clarence while insane.
