August 29. The Australian tallow market is moderately active. Mutton : luferior sorts command 31s to 31s Gd ; medium, 32s to 33.5; Uwest, 35s to 35s 3d. Beef: Inferior, 29a Cd to 30s ; medium, 31a to 32s ; best, 32 9d.
The corn market was firm and steady at 50s for Australian.
