THE GREYITE CANDIDATES.

A meeting of the executive branch of the Central Election Committee was held on Saturday afternoon,—Mr D. H. McKenzie in tlie chair. There was a large attendance, amongst those present being the Hon. Mr Sheehan. The chairman was appointed treasurer of the executive branch, and after various details had been discussed and arranged, it was resolved to [nominate the following candidates for tho seats set opposite their respective names, viz. : —t-or Kdon, Mr J. A. Tole ; Franklin, Messrs Hamlin and Harris ; Marsden, Captain Colbeck; Vast Coast, Mr Allan Macdonald; Thames, Sir George Grey and the Hon J. Sheehan ; Onehunga, Mr G. M. O'Rorke; Parnell, Mr F. J. Moss ; Newton, Mr Wm. Swanson; Rodney, Mr Seymour Thome George. The consideration of the other seats was postponed until to-day or to-morrow. Several other matters of importance were discussed, after which the committee adjourned.

At a meeting of the Central Committee, hold tliis afternoon in the Albeit Hall, the various constituencies for which Grey candidates huve not yet. been nominated again came uuder consideration, but no decided action was taken. It was resolved to interview various candidates in order to ascertain their views, and afterwards a decision will be come to.
