TheArawata left yesterday morning for the Bluff. At the city Police Court four men charged with riotous conduct on New Year's morning were fined in sums varying from 3s to ss. DUNEDIN, this day. William White, charged with forgery^ at Dunedin, was acquitted. Ib consequence of Mr Ward's resignation Mr Gordon, deputy, is appointed Registrar. T. L. Shepherd is appointed clerk of Court at Naseby, Bremner being transferred to a clerkship in the Supreme Court here. A mau named McMillan, released from gaol on Saturday, died shortly afterwards.
